A little boy in Cebu goes viral after his order from an online shop came without notice.
Tech devices are so intelligent these days, you can literally ask your phone to make purchases for you, so you never, ever have to go to a mall or grocery store again. But despite all these advances in smartphone, remote, and voice service technology, it seems like companies have yet to figure out how to prevent accidental, ridiculous purchases from kids in the few seconds their parents aren’t looking.
Like many parents these days, mom Marloue Napiñas Mahumot lets her 5-year-old son play with a cellphone.
But this mom would soon discover that it is best to log out apps like the popular online shopping site, Shopee, before handing a phone to a kid!
This mom didn’t know whether she should laugh or cry when she discovered that her son ordered a rechargeable motorbike from Shopee.
Because Shopee gives customers the option to pay on a COD basis (cash on delivery), the kid was able to easily check out the items.
The kid had really gone on a shopping spree, he already checked out the motorbike worth a thousand pesos.
They couldn’t help but gush over it after the item arrived in their house.
Mahumot then posted it on Facebook saying that they can’t do anything but pay the motorbike her son ordered online.
The money was supposed to be spent on New Year’s celebration.
Alongside photos of their reactions, her post elicits mixed reactions from netizens.
Here are some of their comments:
“Galing naman papano to nakaorder eh hindi naman isang pindutan lang un”
“kitang kita Ang saya Ni baby,,pero c mommy at daddy, mukhang Hindi masaya “
“Di halatang scripted motor bike talaga ang napindot”
What can you say about this?
